Sinopec –
China Petrochemical Corporation, has chosen Lucent’s next-generation optical solutions to improve the communications system in its southwest products pipeline. This contract will mark the first deployment of Lucent‘s optical transmission equipment in China’s petrochemical industry. Wantel Technologies Hong Kong, a Lucent business partner, will be responsible for providing project management support.
Under the terms of this contract, Lucent will supply the Metropolis ADM MultiService Mux and network management software. The purpose is to help building a cost-effective multi-service transmission network that delivers voice, data and video traffic with enhanced capacity and service quality equivalent to the telecommunications network.
