The city of Boston will take in, between 22nd and 26th of August, the first International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: networking and services. This event will be held in cooperation with American Association for Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Computer Society, ACM SIGMOBILE and the European Unions IST program.
The Conference organisers took into account the emerging paradigm brought by the combination of mobile and ubiquitous computing with the goal to provide computing and communication services all the time, everywhere, transparently and invisibly to the user, using devices embedded in the surrounding physical environment.
The Conference expects to impose itself as a forum where practitioners and researchers coming from the many areas involved in ubiquitous solutions design and deployment will be able to interact exchanging the cross-layer experiences needed to build the overall ubiquitous systems. Judging by its preliminary program, MobiQuitous 2004 will discuss themes like Applications, Service-oriented computing, Middleware, Networking, Agents, Knowledge Management and Databases.
