Stratasoft, a subsidiary of I-Sector Corporation, that provides contact center solutions, has announced the general availability of StrataSIP, a soft phone which will allow agents to connect voice calls processed by the StrataDial.VC2, its flagship contact center product, over the Internet.

The Company described StrataSIP as a Voice over Internet Protocol -enabled soft phone or computer program that uses the Session Internet Protocol (SIP) for use on the StrataDial.VC2 call center software suite. StrataDial.VC2 is said to include full support of remote call center agents for processing both inbound and outbound calls. Utilizing the latest advancements in VoIP and SIP, remote agents can be launched from anywhere in the world.

Bob Hennessy, president and CEO of Stratasoft, stated, “VoIP capabilities are critical to the long-term success of our customers, many of whom have been running VoIP solutions between multiple call centers for some time. The StrataSIP client allows those customers to serve remote and home-based call center agents by simply installing a software-based VoIP solution. Remote or home agents can now be turned up without having to ship hardware devices for conversion from IP to analog. StrataSIP allows agents to connect remotely to the StrataDial.VC2 call center software suite with nothing more than a windows-based PC, a high-speed Internet connection and a USB headset in a matter of minutes. The StrataSIP client achieves optimal voice quality by automatically choosing the compression codec based on available bandwidth so the agents and customers receive the highest voice quality possible for each connection. SIP is rapidly becoming a standard for making Internet-based phone calls and we are pleased to introduce this leading, advanced functionality to our customers “.
