Vodafone gained 2.2 million new customers last year in Germany, growing its customer base to 29.2 million.
‘Christmas business went very well. The over 900,000 new customers in the fourth quarter of 2005 prove that our products are attractive and confirm the effectiveness of our business strategy. Our second business focus is also very successful: more and more customers are turning to Vodafone At Home for fixed network substitution,’ commented Friedrich Joussen, Chief Operating Officer at Vodafone Germany.
The number of Vodafone customers worldwide increased by 7.1 million during the last quarter to a total of 179.3 million. Eight million Vodafone customers around the world now use UMTS phones or have a UMTS Mobile Connect Card for their notebooks.
