832 — Alcatel and Right Vision partner to develop SMB technology

Alcatel and Right Vision, a provider of internet appliance servers market announced that they will partner to develop New Information and Communication Technologies solutions (NICT) for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). This first product to be developed by this partnership will be available in the first quarter of 2004. It will combine Alcatel OmniPCX Office communications server for SMB with Right Vision internet appliances to provide users with a full set of communications services including internet access, voice communication and IT Applications.

“The telecommunications market has always been one of Right Vision’s priorities. Benefiting from Alcatel’s expertise and experience in this area, this partnership allows us to confirm our presence in this market. It also makes it possible to better align our software development with the needs of telecommunication operators and the needs of their final customers. This partnership marks a new step for Right Vision in its growth process and confirms our policy of specialty diversification that we began in May”, states Alexandre Krivine, Right Vision’s Chairman of the Board.

Patrick Liot, President, Alcatel Enterprise Networking, explains: “For Alcatel, this partnership will allow us to accelerate the development of converged voice and data solutions for the SMBs’ market. In less than 3 years, Right Vision has established itself as a leader in Europe for manufacturing appliance servers. This French start-up has developed simple solutions and easy to deploy on Windows and Linux platforms. This partnership will be extremely beneficial in accelerating the adoption of new converged technologies by SMBs’.

This partnership is concluded at the European level before going worldwide.
