Telia is eliminating the minute rate for fixed and mobile telephony in Sweden on a 24-hour basis. The new customer offering, called ‘Telia Alltid Total’ in Swedish (‘Telia Always Total’), is valid for phone calls made from fixed home phones to all fixed line phones in Sweden and to Telia’s approximately four million mobile subscribers in Sweden.

According to the release note, customers who subscribe to Telia Alltid Total will also receive a reduced minute rate for overseas calls from Sweden that is up to 20 percent lower than the rates in Telia’s basic price list.

The new price list is a further development of our popular price list `Telia Alltid’ (‘Telia Always’) that we launched in June 2004,‘ says Indra Åsander, head of the Consumer Segment at TeliaSonera Sweden. “Telia Alltid has not only been very well received by our customers – the service has also been copied by name and in terms of content by several of our competitors .’

According to the terms of the Telia Alltid Total subscription, customers pay a fixed monthly rate (SEK 74) and can call without any minute rate on a round-the-clock basis. There is an opening charge of SEK 0. 69 per call. The price list is an add-on service to the customer’s fixed line subscription. Calls to mobile phones of other operators cost SEK 1.99 weekdays, from 08:00-18:00, and SEK 1.10 from 18:00-08:00 and weekends.
