SVOX AG, a Swiss provider of synthetic speech technology and Code Factory, a developer of software solutions for the visually impaired announced they teamed up to co-develop and co-market complete speech solutions for the use in next generation mobile communication devices. SVOX and Code Factory will unite their know-how to develop two joint solutions: Mobile Accessibility and Mobile Professional.

Both products are specially designed to meet the needs of the business users and to offer automobile drivers as well as the visually impaired greater mobile accessibility and communication flexibility. Both products have been developed to support operating systems such as Symbian OS, Smartphone and PocketPC.

Mobile Accessibility was specially designed for the mobile business user as well as for the visually impaired. Through Code Factory´s technology and SVOX´s speech synthesiser, Mobile Accessibility aims at being a full speech navigation solution. This enables both business and private users to organise their electronic calendars and address books as well as to send and receive e-mails, SMS and MMS messages via speech.

Mobile Professional is a text-to-speech solution which provides mobility to business users and automobile drivers. The idea behind this product is that the mobile phones can be used tocheck e-mails and gain access to personal information, while the TTS software of SVOX reads all retrieved data. Additionally, all incoming e-mails can be received from outlook directly on the mobile phone and converted into multi-lingual speech.
