744 — The European IT Forum 2003, Sep 29-30, Paris

Jul 14, 2003 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

IT industry lives in a kind of double bind these days. It’s still facing the aftermath of September 11, war in Iraq, pervasive accounting scandals, a plummeting stock market and political instability leading global CEO’s to harness investments. But on the other side, developments on the utility computing, Web Services and mobility / wireless sectors are deemed to invert the curve. These and other issues will be addressed by IDC’s flagship event, The European IT Forum 2003, in latter September. Europe Contact Center endorses this event as Media Partner.

Hot issues for the 13th edition of IDC’s flagship event will be finding the best way to reduce costs and increase efficiencies, addressing the ‘software complexity crisis’, developing effective integration to prevent logical and physical fragmentation from draining essential resources, meeting the challenge of selective outsourcing – from infrastructure to applications, processing services, BPO – and how to guarantee a high level of security and availability of services.

The event will be based around interactive plenary and parallel sessions, guru labs and a research pavilion, where attendees will be provided with expertise on strategic themes – based on keynote speeches by IDC senior vice presidents, leading economists, top IT and telecom industry executives–, and networking with their peers to share business experiences.
