Connexor, a Finnish provider of multilingual language technology to application developers, announced that it has entered into a license agreement with Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT). Under this agreement, HIIT has licensed Machinese text analysers for use in its research by the Complex Systems Computation Group (CoSCo) lead by Prof. Henry Tirri. CoSCo uses Machinese text analysers as part of its research on search and information retrieval. CoSCo will develop open-source software for the purpose of conducting search based on statistical and semantic models.
