Remedy, a BMC Software company, announced the release of Action Request System (AR System) 6.0. The new version of Remedy’s application management and development platform includes new management and analysis tools aimed at enabling customers to improve the operational efficiency of their IT organization. AR System 6.0 also makes it easier for customers and partners to build, distribute, deploy and manage AR System-based applications.

Remedy’s AR System is an application development environment for automating and maintaining business processes, such as entering, tracking, and resolving service requests. It is also the application platform for Remedy Enterprise Solutions, Remedy Customer Service and Support solutions , and custom-built applications, providing a set of tools for managing and using the applications, including application migration, workflow management, graphical displays, and application integration.

The new version of AR System offers a new version of Flashboards, Remedy’s real-time visual management tool; new application performance statistics; and new SNMP monitoring capabilities.

Remedy’s redesigned Flashboards product offers a new graphical user interface. Flashboards graphically and dynamically displays the status of service management activity within an organisation at any given moment, enabling managers and employees to prioritise tasks Remedy has made Flashboards more analytical by adding new dynamic charts that enable viewers to interpret data and drill down on selected data points for in-depth root-cause analysis. End users also can customize the display to view data differently, recalling and viewing the information in multiple ways to gain greater insights.
