Coinciding with the rollout of Microsoft Speech Server 2004, Aculab announced that they will be providing a port, which will enable Aculabs computer telephony hardware to operate with Speech Server. Aculabs software will allow Microsoft Speech Server to operate with Aculabs media processing resources and digital network access portfolio. Whilst the software will remain relatively hidden from application developers and enterprises alike, it brings Aculabs portfolio of worldwide protocols and media processing resources, together in a single card solution.
Aculab has always endeavoured to provide customers with choice. Allowing the Speech Server to run with Aculab hardware achieves this objective by providing customers and prospects with an application development ready alternative, said Faye Matthews head of strategic marketing. In addition, members of the Microsoft ecosystem, such as value-added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators (SIs), stand to benefit from Aculabs expertise and experience in speech automation technology. This is available through a range of support services including technical consultancy, technical support, training and marketing.
