The pan-European telecommunications services provider, Tele2, has hired Accenture to deploy an integrated billing platform, across 22 European countries, in order to reduce costs and gain the ability to launch new services more effectively. The project will involve replacing some of the Tele2’s existing billing systems, installing new systems and consolidating all of them into one centralized system.

Accenture role will be played in the implementation, initial operation and support of the project. The consulting company says it will bring in the Accenture Communications Solutions, a set of pre-configured software applications and business processes that work seamlessly together to support operations that are critical to running a communications service business. These include customer care, sales, billing, provisioning, service delivery, enterprise management, business intelligence and Internet management applications.
