Oracle has joined the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program as a Premier-level partner. By doing so, Oracle says it pursues its ongoing commitment to developers to provide tighter integration between Oracle Database and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 , which will increase developer productivity and ease deployment of Oracle-based applications on the Microsoft Windows platform.
To date, Microsoft counts more than 200 participants in the VSIP program and more than 400 add-on tools available for the Visual Studio .NET Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
