1241 — Siemens Business Services implements ‘SAP for Banking’ at norisbank

Logo SiemensSiemens Business Services has announced it won a contract for implementing ‘SAP for Banking’ software at norisbank AG in Nuremberg, Germany. This contract, is said to worth several tens of millions of euros.

 

According to the announcement note, the project should start on July 1, 2004, and have the solution operational in all of the bank’s 99 branches in Germany, by the end of 2006. norisbank has decided for this solution to be ready for continued strong growth, particularly in the credit business, says Siemens Business Services.

Dieter Thormählen, member of norisbank AG’s management board, pointed that Siemens Business Services was indicated for project partner due their tremendous experience in core banking solutions. The software for the so-called core banking is expected to control the bank’s most important processes and manages all credit, checking and investment accounts, including the instalment credit product ‘easyCredit’. This system is client-oriented and operates in multiple languages and currencies.
