Volvo IT, a subsidiary of commercial transport solutions supplier AB Volvo, will deploy a cluster of Intel Itanium 2 processor-based HP Integrity servers, according to an announcement note made by Intel and HP . The goal is to help increase business and cost efficiencies across its operations, by powering its mission-critical SAP solution.
The Itanium 2 processor-based HP Integrity rx8620 servers running HP-UX 11i will be deployed at the computer operations center at Volvo IT’s worldwide headquarters in Gothenberg, Sweden.
