1282 — Verint Systems reports 28% increase in first quarter sales

Verint Systems has posted a record sales of $56,638,000 for the first quarter of fiscal 2004, ended April 30, compared with $44,415,000 reported for the same quarter of fiscal 2003. On a year-over-year basis, sales have increased nearly 28%. Dan Bodner, President and CEO , said this growth was due to demand for Verint actionable intelligence solutions in the security and business intelligence markets.
 

The Company ended the quarter with a net income on a GAAP basis of $1,514,000 ($0.05 per diluted share), compared with net income of $3,512,000 ($0.14 per diluted share) for the first quarter of previous fiscal year.
