1289 — University of Connecticut School of Business to deploy converged, multimedia solution from Nortel Networks

Jun 9, 2004 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

The University of Connecticut School of Business is going to deploy a converged network infrastructure from Nortel Networks. The expected benefit is the duplication of the real-time information environment of several stock exchanges.

The infrastructure to be deployed is said to be designed to support multiple constituencies of the Business School, with discrete elements dedicated to faculty and students, resources for Financial Accelerator research, and visitor-based networking.

Nortel Networks claims that while supporting the school’s ‘Financial Accelerator’ tool capabilities, the convergence of voice, data, video and multimedia applications and wireless mobility provides a new network infrastructure to support its growing communications needs.
