Jul 2, 2004 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

European insurance IT spending is set to remain predominantly flat or decrease in 2003-4 , with 40% of respondents indicating no change in their IT budget and a further 32% cutting spending. But there are clear signs that insurers are positioning themselves for a recovery in 2004-5. These findings can be found in Data Monitor’s report “European Insurance Technology Spending Strategies”.

According to this research firm, efficiency continued to dominate European insurers’ IT strategies, with the percentage of insurers citing it as a primary driver increasing noticeably from the time of our last survey in Q4 2003. As in 2003, infrastructure remained the most important investment area overall. But policy administration was the most important area of investment for life and composite insurers.

In this report Data Monitor presents the views of 100 business and technology decision-makers in the sector, drilling down into IT strategy drivers and pinpointing key investment areas for 2004. To access to further information please click here.
