1355 — NZX first in New Zealand to implement Oracle Database 10g

The operator of New Zealand’s only registered securities exchange is consolidating 21 operational databases into a single source of data, powered by Oracle Database 10g.
 

According to the announcement note, New Zealand’s Exchange Limited (NZX), choose this product, for its solid reliability and stability. It expects to obtain an information consolidation that will enable increased service levels by allowing queries to be answered faster and aid its decision-making in identifying new service opportunities, as well as achieve more-efficient IT resource allocation and reduced operational costs.

This contract, marks the first implementation of Oracle Database 10g , in New Zealand.
