Aspect Communications has posted a second quarter revenue of $91million, increasing 16 percent over the same quarter a year ago, and 14 percent over the first three months. For this quarter, ended 30 June, the provider of enterprise customer contact solutions, reported $29 million in Products revenues and $61.1 million in Services revenue.
Net income attributable to common shareholders was $12.2 million compared to a $4.5 million net income for the second quarter of 2003. On a basic and fully diluted basis Aspect had a profit of $0.15 per share.
Operating expenses were $38.4 million for the second quarter of 2004 compared to $41.4 million for the same period last year and $37.9 million in the first quarter of 2004. Aspect gross margins, were 60%.
For the third quarter, the company expects gross margins to remain generally consistent with Q2 levels, and operating expenses to be in a range of $37 million to $39 million.
