Siemens has decided to appoint Joe Kaeser as head of its Corporate Strategies Department. This designation will be effective on October.
Joe Kaeser has enrolled at Siemens Components Group in 1980, after studying business administration in Regensburg. In 1999 he moved to Siemens Corporate Finance Department, where he built up the Performance Controlling unit, and later, in April 2001, became Chief Financial Officer in the Group Execeutive Management of Siemenss IC Mobile Group.
As head of Corporate Strategies Department, he will succeed to Klaus Kleinfeld, and report directly to the companys President and CEO. The Corporate Strategies Department is responsible for the development of company, Group and Regional Company strategies, and prepares as well portfolio decisions by the companys Corporate Executive Committee.
