The European Commission is organising a high-level European workshop in Brussels on 16 September 2004 to present examples of good national and regional policies for boosting the competitiveness of the ICT sector.
The workshop will examine strategies that support the competitiveness of the ICT goods and services industry, using examples drawn from a benchmarking initiative launched by the Enterprise Directorate-General as part of the new industrial policy framework and managed in collaboration with Member States and the business community.
High-level policy makers at national and regional level, ICT industry associations and acad emics will share their experiences of public policies aimed at increasing competitiveness in the ICT industry, and discuss what can be learnt from them.
