1542 — Dudley Council customer contact centre to open next Spring

Dudley Council has revealed that its first new customer contact centre in the borough will be based in the former Instores indoor market on Castle Street in Dudley town centre. Due to open in spring 2005, it aims to make it easier for people in the borough to contact the council and access its services.
 

Council leader, David Caunt, pointed that making it easier and more convenient for people to contact the council for its services and advice are Dudley Council’s top priority. ‘Improving council services is a major commitment we have made to the people in Dudley borough. When this centre opens, we will have taken a big step forward in ensuring this happens.Centres like this will help local people contact the council, in whatever way they choose. They will also ensure the council is more effective and efficient in dealing with people’s enquiries and needs’.

The Dudley Council has plans to open further centres in the borough over the next few years.
