Hannover‘A recovery is possible’ will be the backdrop of this year’s edition of CeBIT – a paramount event on the ICT industry organised by Deutsche Messe AG in Hannover, Germany from 12 – 19 Mar. The organisation foresees an attendance of more than 7,000 businesses, from 59 different countries, exhibiting in an area over 380,000 sq. metres

This year, the exhibition will be organised in eight thematic categories: ‘IT Equipment and Systems’, ‘Software and Services’, ‘Human Resources / Automatic Data Capture’, ‘Telecommunications and Networks’, ‘IT Security and Card Technology’, ‘Banking Technology and Financial Services’, ‘Future Parc’ and ‘CeBIT’ Job & Career Market’.

Open Source Solutions Exchange (hall3, stand C57): Devoted to the migration of open source solutions into the workplace, this year’s product categories include distributions, embedded systems, handheld/wireless solutions, hardware, clusters and office applications.

Internet Park (hall 6): Will focus on potential internet applications – from hotel reservation to shop systems and mail-order software, as well as on e-business software offerings. Internet park will also host a ‘Plaza’ with a special programme of lectures and seminars.

World of Solutions (hall 6): Will centre on standard and vertical-market software solutions, ranging from ASP (application service providing) to content and supply chain management.

Enac Europe (hall 11): Specially focused for ICT personnel, it will be represented by parliamentary bodies, public administration, education, health and social services, publicly owned companies along with investors from the private sector.

Wireless P/LAN Exchange (hall 13, stand D37): Will feature the latest innovations in wireless personal and local area networks as well as the Wi-Fi pavilion.

Network Information Centre (hall 15): A manufacturer-independent forum for all the latest information about recent networking developments.
