541 — T-mobile Austria opts for joint Philips and One STT SMS and e-mail messaging solution

Royal Philips Electronics’ business unit Speech Processing, a provider of speech recognition technology, and One Voice Technologies, a developer of 4th generation voice solutions for the wireless markets announced that T-Mobile Austria has signed an exclusive agreement to utilise MobileVoice in the T-Mobile Future House, a product centre, showcasing T-Mobile’s upcoming wireless subscriber services, located in Vienna, Austria.

“Our T-Mobile Future House is Europe’s first comprehensive showcase for the real applications of the mobile future with 3G. Exciting new applications can be seen in action: One of them is MobileVoice”, said Harald Stadlbauer, responsible for new business at T-Mobile Austria.

“This agreement is a major step forward in our penetration into the European markets,” said Dean Weber, president and CEO at One Voice. “It is a great opportunity to work with T-Mobile Austria, one of the industry’s leading global wireless providers. We have just completed the installation of MobileVoice at the T-Mobile Product Center for all customers to see. We look forward to working closely with Philips on launching the industry’s first mobile Speech-to-Text (STT) SMS and e-mail messaging solution. A launch date is to be decided “.
