Random One is about to launch FotoChat, a landmark in the Spanish mobile market. The FotoChat service enables users to chat via SMS and to view their messages broadcast on TV together with a photo of the message author. The service will be launched on Friday 28th March at VitaminaN, the popular Citytv show hosted by Jordi Gonzalez.The service has been designed to support MMS, but before a critical mass of MMS phone use is reached, users will be able to start enjoying fotochatting through the FotoChat platform that combines SMS and web.
Users can participate in FotoChat by registering at www.citytvweb.com and uploading their picture. Thereafter, each time they send an SMS on the chat, their photo will appear automatically next to their own message on the TV screen.
