583 — The European Telecoms Forum 2003 – Apr 7-8, Rome, Italy

Mar 28, 2003 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

Telecommunications vertical market in Europe has been through a transition phase during the last two years. As a result, the market now consists of strong players focusing on core strengths. Following liberalisation in 1998, the European market was flooded with new players eager to compete with incumbent operators, but many of them have folded up or dramatically scaled back their strategies. IDC’s European Telecoms Forum will focus on the opportunities for telecommunications service/solutions providers and corporations in Europe.

These opportunities are aligned with market trends, and are linked to carriers’ desire to get users, in particular business users, to spend more and to corporations’ increasing focus on best leveraging available solutions and services. Key to the success of carrier initiatives will be the value-added benefits to users as ‘need to have’ becomes paramount in investment decisions.
