Ericsson has decided it will not be an exhibitor at the ITU Telecom World trade show in Geneva, October 12-18, 2003. The primary drivers for this decision are business-related.
The value of participation in ITU Telecom World in Geneva has to be viewed in the light of other opportunities, where return on investment is higher. Since the joint venture with Sony in October 2001, Ericssons marketing efforts are concentrated on a business-to-business perspective. Ericsson is focusing on engaging with its customers on a more direct level through tailor-made customer events and activities, a spokesman said.
