MAP Telecom, the voice division of Monaco Telecom, has added Voxpilot’s VoiceXML platform to its IVR (Interactive Voice Response) platform range in order to expand its Voice Service Provider (VSP) business to Europe and beyond, thus creating a global hosting solution for voice access to web content. This partnership combines the position of Voxpilot’s VoiceXML platform with the hosting, exploitation and support capacity of a full-scale national operator.

“The close partnership with MAP Telecom allows us to expand and improve our multi-language VoiceXML services, offering our clients telco-grade hosting facilities for their applications. Monaco Telecom has chosen Voxpilot’s VoiceXML products for its voice activities due to Voxpilot’s leading-edge technology and position within the European VoiceXML market,” Jon Alcantara, CEO of Voxpilot.

Voxpilot’s VoiceXML 1.0 and 2.0 compliant platform has implemented the latest W3C standards to enable rapid deployment of voice-enabled services that integrate with existing web-based application logic.

“This operation crystallizes our clear vision on speech technology. Telecom infrastructure and platform investments are no longer risk factors, but enablers of the voice service market. MAP Telecom contributes significantly to the VoiceXML ecosystem that will allow Europe to catch up with the US,” François-Xavier Despret, CEO of MAP Telecom, added.

VSP clients can benefit from telco-grade hosting quality for their services at the Monaco Telecom hosting centre, including 24/7 surveillance, high availability, a maximum of security and redundancy.

Furthermore, clients can also benefit from a high-bandwidth IP connection with the web-hosting division Monaco Interactive. Leveraging its bilateral agreements with operators around the globe, Monaco Telecom has put together an offer for collecting, transporting and terminating calls anytime, anywhere.
