Dec 5, 2003 | Conteúdos Em Ingles

Royal Philips Electronics announced the release of the UK MultiMed ConText for its speech recognition software SpeechMagic. For the first time ever, UK hospitals can now integrate a hospital-wide speech recognition system with their Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems to optimise reporting and documentation workflows. Experience has shown that speech recognition doubles the productivity of medical transcription staff and significantly reduces the documentation costs of healthcare institutions.

The MultiMed ConText covers specialised terminology for more than 90 per cent of all medical disciplines and is based on more than 1 billion words obtained from medical documents. It is structured in various modules, including clinical and operative reports, discharge summaries, history & physicals, consultations, cardiology and emergency medicine.
